A Gift in Kind  - Alternative present giving at Christmas

1st December 2018

Feed a needy Kenyan village over Christmas.

Our specially designed cards could be purchased and given to another, instead of buying a Christmas present. This project proved extremely popular, especially as thank you gifts to school teachers and socking fillers for those who seem to have everything. The entire profits were used to feed a needy Kenyan village over Christmas.

Cards are available to purchase at anytime - please contact us for more information.

*Cost of card production 61p. Cards sold for £5 with £4.39 per card sale given to BBK to purchase food the village.

Royal Tea Party Fundraiser to build a new orphanage in Kenya

100 guests joined together on the most glorious day at Chester Le Street Cricket Club for a Royal Tea Party. With tickets priced at £15 a head (£5 per ticket was donated to BBK), guest were entertained with live music and table side magician, David Taylor. Scrumptious homemade tea was served and guests enjoyed a good giggle with Wayne Bond, Heart radio DJ who hosted our fabulous auction, with prizes donated from companies local and nationwide. A whopping £3010 was raised to which we are so thankful. All funds will be put towards building the new Jesus Healing Ministry orphanage.

Charity Fashion Show Hosted by the Ladies at Bethany City Church Sunderland

16th June 2019

For the 3rd year running this fabulous fashion show proved to be a spectacular event. Utilising clothes donated to BBK, the models on the catwalk really knew how to strut their stuff. During the interval, guests enjoyed homemade cakes, and the tension built over who would be quick enough to snap up the Hugo Boss shirt or Monsoon maxi dress.
Alongside the fashion show, a sale table was available with beautiful items from the BBK store, and a short presentation was given by trustee Maureen Nevitt, who took us through the projects BBK serves. The event brought in a combined total of £1667 which was a wonderful achievement by all.
