1950’s Tea Party

Saturday 12th September  2020

On Saturday 12th Sept. the BBK team was very excited to host it's sell out 1950’s tea party. It was going to be a real swinging event, with guests coming in 50’s dress up, live music from the era, traditional games and an auction, all to raise money for our projects in Kenya. Unfortunately due to the global pandemic Covid-19, the event was sadly cancelled.

We thank every involved, from our host venue Chester-le-street Cricket Club, to the volunteers at BBK to all the wonderful people who purchased a ticket to the event. One day in the near future this event will run again. In the mean time please join us for the Facebook online auction of the auction prizes!

Fundraiser to build an orphanage in Kenya

Charity Fashion Show Hosted by the Ladies at Bethany City Church Sunderland

16th June 2019

For the 3rd year running this fabulous fashion show proved to be a spectacular event. Utilising clothes donated to BBK, the models on the catwalk really knew how to strut their stuff. During the interval, guests enjoyed homemade cakes, and the tension built over who would be quick enough to snap up the Hugo Boss shirt or Monsoon maxi dress.
Alongside the fashion show, a sale table was available with beautiful items from the BBK store, and a short presentation was given by trustee Maureen Nevitt, who took us through the projects BBK serves. The event brought in a combined total of £1667 which was a wonderful achievement by all.
